The Yokohama Marching Band, one and only music group in Second Life that parades, performs stage drills and gives concerts, hosts a musical event after its long silence with AKATSUKI, masa Homewood's new dance and music project, who is well known for his legendary "ZERO" and "weiß". YMB manager and synthesizer improvisationist Hiroshi Kumaki also appears on the stage as a solo musician. The Japanese musicians who made legends in the past Burining Life (Burn 2.0) and SL Birthday events reunite on this occasion. So the "Revival of Legends." Don't miss it! The time to celebrate Second Life's 9th birthday is just around the corner. This year, YMB will not set up our exhibit because our real life engagements make our one week performance difficult. But winds Seiling and I will appear in person at SL9B Green Stage for live performance. Please do not miss winds' marvelous performance on the clarinet and, perhaps, on the saxophone. I will back her up on the piano and play the synthesizer by improvisation. We are looking forward to seeing you there. :)

Now the Yokohama Marching Band would like to express our gratitude to all the world for their support in the Great East Japan Earthquake. Still, there is an atomic power station crisis going on and the way to reconstruction of the devastated area seems long. But, with the cordial support from the people all the world over, those who suffered from the quake feel relieved and each one of us does feel love will find a way. Yes, we are surely on the way to reconstruction and restoration. As a Japan based group, we would like to respond to the love all the world have sent us by saying "Thank you!"
One of the way to show our sincere gratitude to the world we think is coming back on the stage, giving musical performance. Now we've just begun organizing an event as below:
Saturday 21st May 2011 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm PDT Hiroshi Kumaki Live YMB Stage Drill
Sunday 22nd May 2011 6:00 am - 8:00 am YMO Classical Concert Hiroshi Kumaki Live YMB Stage Drill
As all the world might be aware, the great earthquake struck Japan and devastated many cities and towns. The consequent accident of an atomic power station that supplies electricity to the Tokyo metropolitan area causes the power shortage in this region. The planned power outage is conducted almost everyday.
As such being the case, the Yokohama Marching Band has regrettably decided to cancel its performance in Burnal Equinox. Instead, we are resolved to cooperate in recovering the suffered region and in revitalizing Japan in a way or another each of our members can.
We sincerely appreciate the Burn2 staff who have invited us to the event and all the residents who are looking forward to our show. We don't know when, but we are sure to come back to the playa. Please wait for us until then.
Burn 2 will open at noon SLT Oct.16 2010. And we will have an opening parade at 1:30 pm. This is a jump-in parade everyone can join freely, so why don't you come and join us? The venue is: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Burning%20Man-Rabbit%20Hole/9/39/24

The hottest and craziest week of the year drawing near, Yokohama Marching Band is globally recruiting new members!
- One who wants to have some fun playing musical instruments but has no musical experience in the real world; - One who has played in the marching band in the real world but does not think marching is possible in Second Life; - One who tried to play the musical instruments but gave it up thinking it was too difficult.....
Why won't you join us in playing music in Second Life and have a lot of fun together! If you don't have a real life experience or don't have musical instruments, Don't worry a thing! Love for music is enough. ;)
Meanwhile, band supporters are also wanted. Supporters cannot only give hoorays to the band at the events but play the musical instruments as members of drills or parades! Isn't it nice? ;)
